Lyrics

BEST MISTAKE I EVER MADE

The song is about: "The story of a forbidden love that was perfect, unforgettable, and ultimately lost. Two people from different worlds whose love was beautiful precisely because it could never fully belong to either of them. We moved beyond loss and into eternal connection. These two souls remain bound together even though life separated them. Neither person ever truly moved on because what they shared was once-in-a-lifetime. They each carry the "forever and forever" feeling.
The two will carry the eternal connection and these two souls will remain bound together always carrying the "forever and forever" feeling. Can one love transcend time, distance, and even mortality?"

INTRO

VERSE 1
I know your heart,
I know how it works,
Like secret verses hidden where it hurts.
I count your heartbeats like lullabies,
A thousand stars behind your eyes.
You ache, you break, no disguise,
Still I see the truth you hide.
Your pauses read like paragraphs,
Of all the dreams that couldn't last.

PRE-CHORUS
You drift beside me through the years,
Through faded photographs and dried up tears.

CHORUS
You were the best mistake I ever made,
A forbidden fire that will never fade.
You were the best mistake my heart obeyed,
The sweetest price that love has ever paid.
We loved where angels feared to tread,
With forever, living in the words we said.
Though autumn stole your footsteps from the shore,
Your name still drifts beneath my bedroom door.
If fate's cruel hand was mine to serenade,
You were the best mistake I ever made.

VERSE 2
I choose you... always,
That's a promise time can't steal.
Always wasn't just between us,
Always was the way we'd feel.
In the quiet of the night,
In the stillness of the dark,
In the shadow of the moon,
I still see your face like a heart.
You haunt the corridors of time,
Where dust and memory intertwine.
Like silver rain on thirsty ground,
You touch my soul and make it......whole.

PRE-CHORUS
Your whispered words fall like summer rain,
You wake the roses to feel my pain.

CHORUS
You were the best mistake I ever made,
A forbidden fire that will never fade.
You were the best mistake heaven displayed,
A reckless dream no waking world could trade.
We loved where angels feared to tread,
With forever, living in the words we said.
Though winter swept your footprints from the snow,
Your ghost still blooms where only wild hearts grow.
If loving you was heaven's masquerade,
You were the best mistake I ever made.

VOCAL BRIDGE
My midnight heart still holds the light your morning smile once gave,
Like a lighthouse burning faithfully above a restless wave.
Two hearts that loved beyond their time can never love again......

INSTRUMENTAL BRIDGE
(Ooohs...)
(Ahhhs...)
My midnight heart loved your morning smile,
We made forever live for a long beautiful while.

FINAL CHORUS
You were the best mistake I ever made,
That burning fire that never learned to fade.
You were the best mistake my soul embraced,
The one regret I'd never dare erase.
Though winter stole your footsteps from the snow,
Your love still blooms where only wild hearts grow.
My midnight heart loved your morning smile,
We made forever live for a long, long while.
You were the best mistake I ever made.

POST-CHORUS
Two souls,
One heartbeat,
Forever and never......
You were the best mistake I ever made.
You were the best mistake I ever made.

OUTRO
My past is not where I left it,
It echoes where your love caressed it.
And somewhere beyond the stars above,
Lives the best mistake......I ever loved...I ever loved...
